Hi, my name is Nicole and THE SWEATER LIBRARY is my textile art & design studio.Â
My work often contains
vibrant colors
text and icons
an invitation for you to uncover a deeper message within it
I make fabric by hand knitting, machine knitting, crochet, knotting, and compositing. I also use surface techniques such as felting, dyeing, embroidery, painting, and printing. All garments are sewn in my zero waste studio.
As a disabled (POTS, UCTD, Hashimoto's, chronic migraines, sensory processing disorders, etc), Peruvian American artist and designer, my experience growing up and navigating life with chronic health conditions has shaped the way I view and interact with the world. In the past, my work has included tapestry, textile installation, music, video, photography, & performance, some of which you may find on this site.
Thank you for visiting and please reach out if you have any questions!
